...To say that my blog on Lindsey and Jeremy's wedding is forthcoming. I'm only on day two of a five-day trip, so it'll probably be huge.
In other news, I'm thisclose to finishing my newest novel that I started at the end of last year. I would have finished it earlier had I not run in to other real life stuff along the way. I'm really excited about this one. It takes place in the modern world, but there are fantastical elements to it. And a lot of it is derived from real life, which makes it even more meaningful.
Keith gets home tonight very soon. YAY! We had the best time ever this past weekend! I can't wait for us to go to the last SWW this Saturday! :)

Well work was certainly interesting today. I was working across from Chris in Tinkerbell's, which is always interesting with his menagerie of hats. Today it was the Captain Hook hat; Jenny was working next to me. It was a looooong day. I forget that other girl's name but she and Jonathan weren't getting along well cuz she had left him without a ride at a party. Elisa and I had a swordfight while we were working in Tink's towards the end of the night, and it was very fun, soooo dramatic. "I'll get you, next time!" "As you will! Have at you!" *swings blade* *fences* Then we were sword fighting with some little boy, it was the cutest thing ever, except he had like four swords and chased me across the store with them, LOL. And boy, that kid could run! Hehe, so I had lots of guests from CA today, and one couple told me something interesting about the connection between Anaheim and Valencia and Beauty and the Beast, it was funny, kind of an inside joke I guess with the animators. On the bus back I was talking to a girl who works on Main Street, the bus ride back is always soooo much fun. She thought I was a face character (like Snow White or Belle or something) cuz she said I looked like I was one, but I said I worked in one of the lands. She works in merchandise too, so that gave us a little to talk about! So anywayz, I'm talking to Keithy now, and am soooo pumped, but I'm hungry cuz the only thing I got to eat all day was potato chips...

I just saw the movie Signs with my mom and sister, and it was creepy! Joaquin Phoenix is hottttttt! sizzle sizzle, LOLOL. I've been humming the Ultima tune all day it's so annoying. And ooooh Uncle Backey and Aunt Kelly and the kids are coming up from Tampa today and spending time with us, they'll be here really soon. I'm so glad they're coming for a visit, I hope we go out to dinner with them! I remember going to Red Lobster with them when I was like in tenth grade or something. Anyhow, hopefully I'll get to talk to Keithy soon too :) I can't believe the summer's almost over, it feels like it just started, ya know? Mmmmmmkay kids, catch ya later.

"Stones" from Ultima |

Stones
Long ago ran the sun on a folk who had a dream And the heart and the will and the power: They moved earth; they carved stone; moulded hill and channeled stream That we might stand on the wide plains of Wiltshire
Now men asked who they were, how they built and wonder why That they wrought standing stones of such size What was done 'neath our shade? What was pray'ed 'neath our skies As we stood on the wyrd plains of Wiltshire
Oh what secrets we could tell if you'd listen and be still Rid the stink and the noise from our skirts But you haven't got the clue and perhaps you never will Mute we stand on the cold plains of Wiltshire
Still we loom in the mists as the ages roll away And we say of our folk, "they are here!" That they built us and they died and you'll not be knowing why Save we stand on the bare plains of Wiltshire
by Iolo FitzOwen and Gwenllian Gwalch'gaeaf (Text and Lyrics from the Book of Lore )
From Ultima: Music is much loved throughout Britannia. Those wealthy enough often own a harpsichord, and the better pubs employ good lute playing minstrels to entertain their patrons. Without question the best known name in folkmusic is that of Iolo FitzOwen. "Stones", a ballad about the mystic shrines, has long been popular among bards and the commonfolk. It is known to be a favorite of His Majesty, Lord British, as well. FitzOwen's masterwork, with lyrics by his wife Gwenllian Gwalch'gaeaf, is a sample of fine music.

This is also one of the songs I remember most from one of my favorite childhood cartoon movies (about rabbits! hehe) called Watership Down. Art Garfunkel sung the song, I just love Simon & Garfunkel, and I think these lyrics are nice...
Bright Eyes
Is it a kind of dream, Floating out on the tide, Following the river of death downstream? Oh, is it a dream?
There's a fog along the horizon, A strange glow in the sky, And nobody seems to know where you go, And what does it mean? Oh, is it a dream?
Bright eyes, Burning like fire. Bright eyes, How can you close and fail? How can the light that burned so brightly Suddenly burn so pale? Bright eyes.
Is it a kind of shadow, Reaching into the night, Wandering over the hills unseen, Or is it a dream?
There's a high wind in the trees, A cold sound in the air, And nobody ever knows when you go, And where do you start, Oh, into the dark.
Bright eyes, burning like fire. Bright eyes, how can you close and fail? How can the light that burned so brightly Suddenly burn so pale? bright eyes.
Bright eyes, burning like fire. Bright eyes, how can you close and fail? How can the light that burned so brightly Suddenly burn so pale? Bright eyes.

Fun day today, mom came in when I was working and I got a longer break to spend with her, so we went and got lemonade slushes and vanilla/strawberry ice cream and walked around and talked. :) Hehe, I got called Snow White again, it was funny. Ana and I had lunch in the cafe and it was fun talking to her! Her mom is the one from Columbia. I'm talking to Keithy now, I miss him :)

The Last Unicorn
When the last eagle flies over the last crumbling mountain And the last lion roars at the last dusty fountain In the shadow of the forest though she may be old and worn They will stare unbelieving at the last unicorn
When the first breath of winter through the flowers is icing And you look to the north and a pale moon is rising And it seems like all is dying and would leave the world to mourn In the distance hear the laughter of the last unicorn
I'm alive, I'm alive
When the last moon is cast over the last star of morning And the future has passed without even a last desperate warning Then look into the sky where through the clouds a path is formed Look and see her how she sparkles, it's the last unicorn.
I'm alive, I'm alive
The coolest song and movie! One of my real favorites too is Man's Road, I always liked the tune as well as this one. I love the whole medieval theme of the movie! :-P Wow I haven't used THAT smiley face in ages! :)

Today was a fun day, my mom and I went to Perkins for breakfast, and then went and saw Austin Powers again, it was great :) Haven't seen my sister all day though, she had an interview with the bank, so that's all cool for her. Listening to a song from AP now, hehe, it's funny.

Wow, I've been listening to this song all day and it's just beautiful - Sissel sings it, she's the voice of Titanic :) So here are the lyrics, I think her voice is angelic.
Weightless
All of my life I have been waiting Wondering what I will do
All I can feel Is my heart beating Time and time again for you
And I’m weightless, falling in love I am weightless And I don’t know why but I know It’s all right
All I can hear Is my own breathing Echo in my loneliness
If I could sleep I would be dreaming Of the sweetness of your kiss
And I’m weightless, falling in love I am weightless And I don’t know why but I know It’s all right And I’m weightless, falling in love I am weightless And I’m so high, I’m with my angel tonight
And I’m weightless, falling in love I am weightless And I don’t know why but I know It’s so right And I’m weightless, falling in love I am weightless And I’m so high, I’m with my angel tonight

| Weekend Update... |

Today was actually a really good day despite the fact I was dead tired when it was over. I was working in Tinkerbell's and since we're allowed to wear the hats/wigs in all the stores, I put on a read bow headband. Then Yaning, who I was working with, said I looked like Snow White, and told me to put the wig on. So I put the Snow White wig on and people started coming up to me saying I looked like SW (duh!) lol. The little kids were all happy and stuff, it was so cute! :) Then a coupla cast members told me I look like Snow White and should go to Audition for a character role as her. Apparently dancing isn't part of it unless you're going out for a dancing role in a show or something (funny, I thought EVERYONE had to dance in the preliminaries). lol, Phillip said something about I had the right eye color too, but I guess anyone can have the right eye color really nowadays. So after my fun was over, Buddy talked to me - he had been grading my performance today and I did really well! I even got a special like outstanding service card called "guest service fanatic" he gave me today for my work with Disney. It goes onto my record - well anyhow, I dropped the card into a box and they draw a name at random each month to give the winner a little gift. That was fun; I also got a few cool new pins today. And when I counted out my register, it was perfectly even, something which lots of cast members have hardly seen, I was so proud! :) Then I got home and my mom said we would be going out tomorrow morning for some breakfast, since I have been handling going back to work very well after my dad passed away, and she was proud of me. We're going through the storage after that (or maybe it's before that...can't remember which). But anyway tomorrow I should be with my mom and sis for at least half of the day, which is good since I have barely seen them lately. I'm off now to talk to Keithy! :)

Hehe, I just saw Austin Powers in: Goldmember, and laughed my ass off. It was such a nice relief for today. I also went to the bookstore and did a few hours of reading and research, and looked at Melanie Rawn's Exile books that Chi Chi told me about. I was listening to Blondie all day long, I'm such a fan! I remember Christel playing it all the time in the car in CA, and playing it when I went out in the morning to pick up breakfast a few days b4 Keith came. I'm gonna go call him now :)

| The English Language. |
[23 Jul 2002|07:30pm] |
There is no egg in the eggplant No ham in the hamburger And neither pine nor apple in the pineapple. English muffins were not invented in England French fries were not invented in France. We sometimes take English for granted But if we examine its paradoxes we find that Quicksand takes you down slowly Boxing rings are square And a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig. If writers write, how come fingers don't fing. If the plural of tooth is teeth Shouldn't the plural of phone booth be phone beeth If the teacher taught, Why didn't the preacher praught. If a vegetarian eats vegetables What the heck does a humanitarian eat!? Why do people recite at a play Yet play at a recital? Park on driveways and Drive on parkways How can the weather be as hot as hell on one day And as cold as hell on another You have to marvel at the unique lunacy Of a language where a house can burn up as It burns down And in which you fill in a form By filling it out And a bell is only heard once it goes!

I just came home from watching the Diamond Horshoe Revue at WDW and my tummie hurts. I got lost trying to find a way back into the tunnel from the restaurant too! LOL. So I just took the passage back through the exit of the Hall of Presidents and the stairwell down into the tunnel, no biggie. Anyhow, I saw some people from work who looked kinda confused I was there. Now I'm talking to Howie on AOL, he said they had a power outage...it's thundering really bad over here and sprinkling rain a little bit but no power out yet *knock on wood*. I can't wait for a certain phone call tonight from a certain someone ;) *smile Keith* Anyhow, yesterday I managed to find time to have lunch at Crisper's with mom, and I talked to her and took her mind off of all the stuff that's been happening. Just trying to spend a lot more time with the family lately, I really love them so much, through all the good and bad times. :) Boy oh boy, my tummy aches! :( Hehe, but I had a knee-slappin good time today listening to the singing Cowboy (unfortunately Marshall John Charles wasn't there but HP the magic trick guy was!) So I took the bus back to my car and drove home and here I am.

Another tip of the day: Get Stitch plush toys while you still can, since they're selling out like rockets! We sell the dickens out of this shit, so much that everyone has backordered them! Really! I feel like a merchantrainer saying that but, hey, it's the truth!
